National & Global Standing
Academic Team
The ALTE team consists of highly qualified Georgian and foreign specialists. Experienced lecturers create a friendly and collaborative atmosphere for students from all over the world. Among ALTE's foreign professors are scientists from leading universities in the United States and Europe — whose scientific articles are published in international peer-reviewed, impact-factor journals. Students are also actively involved in research at ALTE's dedicated research centres.
The International Medical School offers two programs specifically for international students, focused on preparing qualified, certified, and competitive doctors with international standards for the worldwide labour market. The MBBS curriculum ensures students understand the core values of medicine and meet the requirements of the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).
Learning at Alte
Alte University's International Medical School uses cutting-edge, globally benchmarked teaching methodologies that go far beyond conventional lectures. The approach is designed to build practical competence alongside theoretical knowledge — producing doctors who are ready for real-world clinical environments from their very first day of practice.
Virtual Reality is integrated into practical training sessions — allowing students to experience realistic clinical scenarios in a safe, immersive environment before entering real wards.
State-of-the-art simulation labs with high-fidelity mannequins and clinical equipment let students practise procedures and emergency scenarios repeatedly until mastery is achieved.
Students work in small groups to solve real clinical cases — developing critical thinking, diagnostic reasoning, and teamwork skills that are essential for modern medical practice.
Detailed clinical case studies drawn from real patient scenarios are used throughout the curriculum to bridge the gap between classroom theory and hospital practice.
Students can participate in exchange programs at partner universities in the USA, Europe, Canada, and Australia — gaining exposure to diverse medical systems and global clinical practices.
Students are encouraged to contribute to ongoing research at ALTE's research centres alongside faculty — building a strong academic profile and analytical mindset from early in their career.

No additional internship is required separately. The 6-year MBBS program at Alte University includes a structured internship (clinical rotation year) as its final year. After returning to India, graduates must clear the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) or NExT examination — conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) — to obtain Indian medical registration and practice medicine in India. Passing FMGE/NExT is the only requirement; no extra internship needs to be done again. MED EDUTECH GLOBAL provides guidance on the FMGE/NExT pathway as part of our comprehensive support services.
